| An American teacher letter to an iranian teacher 3 |
Well, I am glad that you asked about discipline. I have a problem with several students of my own. They are loud and talkative, and can be rude and disrespectful. In my school we have a system that some times works and sometimes does not work! I "write the student up", which means that they have to go to the principal's office, where he will give them their punishments. They usually must remain in school for one or two hours after the school day ends. Or they will have two or three days out of school. Depends, but nothing seems to work with some of them. maybe we could trade students for a while?? Hahaha

Hi again...ok, you also asked about my life in the USA. I am pleased to live here most of the time. I am free to do and say as I want, and I am free to criticsize the government, which I do all the time! I despise George Bush, and I believe he is the worst president in all of our history. Really. This disaster in Iraq is a tragedy for our country. He should be thrown into the river...haha. Anyway, where I live is very quiet. I spent Christmas time with my family. we are Roman Catholics, so we spent alot of our Christamas in Church and praying. Americans are quite religious, so Church is the center of most people's Christmas celebrations. It is a nice time when all the family is together for several days, giving gifts, and having great meals. Its a pretty time of year, every house with their tree in the window, and Christmas Music playing.

| An American teacher letter to an iranian teacher |
Thank you for writing back. Wow! 30 students in each class! That is too many! And 60 hours? Believe me, I understand when you say that sometimes it is rewarding, but sometimes it is not. I do not like my class this year very much. The children can be quite rude, and do not seem interested in learning. But it seems that our world is changing that way! Tell me, where do you live? What do you do for fun there? I am in a small city. I love to spend time out side,,, fishing, hiking, and camping. I also go to the bars sometimes with friends or just watch a movie. Not terribly exciting here, but its a good place to live. I have a drem to visit Iran someday. Unfortunately, our President has made it dificult to travel to the region now. Ughhh. Anyway, please write soon.
