Poem Title: Real Soldiers
You deserve a medal, not just a reward not just a sticker, or a flower or your name up on the board.
You deserve a metal, for once again, each day, entering a classroom full of children in your wake.
For pulling up the courage, For shaking off defeat, For trying once, and then again, refusing to concede,
You deserve a metal for your acts of bravery, against the foe of ignorance, for each child you've set free.
For every mind that's been enslaved, for the knowledge that makes us bolder, You deserve a metal that reads, "A Teacher, A True Soldier" |
